Violin
Biography
Jozsef Lendvay (born 1974) is an Hungarian violinist. As a two time Echo Klassik Preis winner, he has performed throughout the world as a soloist with leading orchestras and conductors and as a leader of his ensemble group Lendvay and Friends. In the international music scene, Lendvay is particularly praised for his virtuosity and his vital, brilliant, warm and light violin playing.
As the son of one of the most famous gypsy violinists, Jozsef sr. Csócsi Lendvay and with an intensive classical education at the Béla Bartók Conservatory and at the Franz Liszt Music Academy with Miklos Szenthelyi, Lendvay is a very versaGle musician who easily switches between classical solo repertoire as folklore music while making his own arrangements.
